Starting a Town with Towny

Towny is a plugin that allows players to create and manage towns within Minecraft servers. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to start a town:

1. Ensure Sufficient Funds:

  • To start a town, you need to have enough in-game currency. The cost to start a town is 256g.

  • Additionally, if you plan to create a nation in the future, you'll need 2048g.

2. Claiming Land:

  • Before creating a town, you'll need to claim land where the town will be located.

  • Each chunk of claimed land costs 16g.

3. Creating a Town:

  • Once you have enough funds and claimed land, you can proceed to create your town.

  • Use the command /town new [town name] to create a new town. Replace [town name] with the desired name of your town.

4. Managing Your Town:

  • After creating your town, you'll become its mayor and gain access to various town management commands.

  • Some essential town commands include:

    • /town deposit [amount]: Deposit funds into the town bank.

    • /town claim: Claim more land for your town.

    • /town set [option] [value]: Set various town options such as taxes, spawn locations, and more.

    • /town invite [player]: Invite another player to join your town.

    • /town kick [player]: Remove a player from your town.

    • /town delete: Permanently delete your town.

5. Growing Your Town:

  • Encourage other players to join your town to help it grow.

  • Expand your town's territory by claiming more land using the /town claim command.

  • Develop infrastructure, build structures, and create a thriving community within your town.

6. Creating a Nation:

  • Once your town becomes established and you have enough funds (2048g), you can create a nation.

  • Use the command /nation new [nation name] to create a new nation. Replace [nation name] with the desired name of your nation.

7. Additional Resources:

  • Refer to Towny's official documentation or in-game help for more detailed information and commands.

  • Seek assistance from server staff or experienced players if you encounter any difficulties or have questions about managing your town.

By following these steps, you can successfully start and manage your own town using Towny within the Minecraft server.
